1980 Meccano Product Catalog
Meccano was the toy company that distributed Kenner's line of Star Wars toys and action figures in France during the late 1970's ane early 1980's. This is one of the product catalogs given to retailers to encourage them to stock the Star Wars line. Although US Kenner catalogs turn up frequently, vintage catalogs from Kenner's affiliates are difficult to find.

The 1980 catalog is of particular note since it features early prototypes of the unproduced Empire Strikes Back large size action figure line including Leia Bespin, Han Hoth, Luke Bespin, and Lando Calrissian. It introduces the ESB line with hand-painted figures and some prototype vehicles (ie. Cloud Car). Again, it's worth highlighting that this issue also shows early versions of the Bespin dolls series including Lando and a doll version of the Tauntaun (illustrated with the AF toy).
