Proof Sheet for Laser Rifle/Pistol Display
ZEEEEEE!!! ZEEEEEE!!! Sadly enough, that's exactly what these things sounded like. Regardless of the cheesy noise, however, Kenner's versions of the Star Wars laser weapons--Han Solo's Mauser-inspired blaster and the Three-Position Laser Rifle--were pretty darn cool by today's standards, and the company managed to sell a ton of them. Yet, in spite of the popularity of the toys, the store display offered with them seems to have been issued in incredibly low numbers. Today, it almost never surfaces on the collector's market, a fact which has made it a Grail of sorts among many display collectors. What you're seeing here is actually not the display in question but a proof sheet for that display. Such proofs would have been created prior to the printing of the final displays in order to review their layouts and make any corrections that might have been appropriate.
