| A complete set of Revenge cards numbers 50. The 48 figures pictured on the back of the card as well as the two oddball cards that can be seen in this photo. The R2-D2 card and the white error card. Like this photo shows, the Empire Strikes Back figures made up most of the Revenge of the Jedi line and the Star Wars figures took up the rest of the slots. Getting the new packaging out was a hot priority before the new movie hit the screens in 1983. Kenner did their best to keep the toys a secret until the movies were in theatres and even then they abided by Lucasfilm's wishes and hid the first two Ewoks from Return of the Jedi packaging in order to keep them a secret only for the movie-going public. At least this was the inital plan for the fuzzy creatures. |
