| Proof cards are
currently an immensely popular segment of the prototype collecting niche.
While Revenge, ESB, and ROTJ are typically available in today's marketplace,
early SW proofs are extremely difficult to locate. It doesn't get much
better than the proof shown here as it is a 12 back card, the earliest release
card type, and a hallmark character from the trilogy: Luke Skywalker.
Upon examining the card back, one will notice it varies slightly from the production cards. Notice it lists "Tusken Raider" as opposed to "Sand People". I personally prefer the more ominous name Tusken Raider, but I suppose Sand People was slightly easier for youngsters to articulate back in the day. |
