Droids Mon Julpa and Vlix Card Artwork
Here are the two original paintings that were to be used for the second series Droids cartoon figures. Unfortunately the line was cancelled and never went into production. However the cards, coins, and figures have shown up in proof and prototype form, respectively. Vlix was the only second series figure that was ever available. It was released by Brazil's Glasslite company and is incredibly rare. Only a few examples of this foreign carded figure have surfaced over the past several years. Like all the other Glasslite Droids cards, it had the generic photo instead of a character-specific photo. The Canadian Droids figures were made like this as well. A carded Mon Julpa was actually shown in an issue of Action Figure Digest recently. This piece was a salesperson's sample but it did have the correct coin included with it.
