Death Star Surface Pieces
Given out during the 1980's as prizes by the Offical Star Wars Fan Club, pieces of the Death Star are some of the most frequently seen prop pieces today. Each one is unique, however, and emblematic of the effort and force of imagination that went into the entire Star Wars production. These images are indicative of the variety of these things, each being hand-constructed from such materials as spare parts from common-place model kits. Commercially produced memorabilia is great but there's something about an actual film-used piece that leaves the jaws dropped and the eyes bulging.
