Ewok Combat Glider Engineering Pilot: Engineering Pilots are package samples of either the box or cardback for a vehicle, playset, or figure. Kenner used these EP's as a test to make sure that either the figure and accessories fit properly with the dimensions of the bubble and card or that the vehicle or playset and all accompanying sticker sheets, instructions, figure pack-ins, and/or other accessories fit properly in the box. EP's, both boxes and cards, are typically made of plain white cardboard cut to the dimensions of the final product.

In the picture above you see a production boxed Ewok Glider side by side with an EP.

While not as interesting as some other forms of prototype packaging it still is an integral piece in the production process and gives us a look at one of the many stages that brought the world the final product.

Finally, we have a shot of the series of Ewok Combat Glider pieces that Zac has assembled. These pieces include examples of several stages in the process used to create the vehicle. Shown are some of the original pieces of photoart for the back of the box, a color key, a proof sheet, various box flat samples and proofs, an Engineering Pilot, a production boxed glider, and included in the series, but not pictured, is a first shot.
